My husband and I own and operate a cattle property in a little district called Hannaford on the Western Downs, about 450km west of Brisbane. After growing up in the suburbs of Sydney and beginning my teaching career in Brisbane, it was a shock to go bush to teach in rural Queensland.

I met my husband and the rest is history. After teaching and raising a family I am now more and more obsessed with creating. When painting, I enjoy using acrylics, as well as a mixed media approach using water colour and a range of drawing materials, and while the chief influence is the landscape, natural and built, I am enjoying experimenting with a wider variety of media and subject matter, as I polish process and technique. 

 I hope my love for the familiar moods and challenges of the Brigalow landscape, and the scenes of rural life is evident in my work.
